Cameras 4 Kids

These unique PhotoCentral classes are especially designed for kids. Wendy Gray leads the Cameras 4 Kids classes and she will share her love and knowledge of photography in exciting after school events and summer camps. Learn, laugh and make neat photographs in these fun classes.

Photo Camp

Class #150033 and 150032 for ages 10-12; 150031 for ages 7-9

Campers will explore the wonderful world of photography. Color, light and composition will be explored in each day’s activity as students discover new and exciting ways to create photographs. Through the camera lens, children are shown how to see their world from a different perspective and how to create exciting images. Cameras 4 Kids participants will explore sun printing techniques, creating images with Holga cameras and developing photographs in the PhotoCentral darkroom. Camp includes an outing to a local museum or gallery. Camera and film are provided. Just bring lunch. Limited to 8 campers.

Exploring Printing I

Class #150025, 250025

The most amazing sight is watching your photograph starting to emerge on paper. Come learn how to print B&W photographs in our own PhotoCentral darkroom. Students will learn about the B&W photographic process and the basic skills needed to print B&W contact sheets and photographs. This is a great review and next class for graduates of Camera 4 Kids Summer Camp.

Bring a bag lunch and B&W white negatives or work from our negatives. All other supplies are provided. Limited to 8 students.
