Classes
PhotoCentral classes offer instruction in the craft and aesthetic of photography. Information is presented in a lively lecture/discussion format with plenty of time for questions and the showing and critique of photographs. Classes are usually four weeks long enabling students to complete a sequence of courses in one semester. Concurrent enrollment in classes from the Camera Use, Printing and technical sequences is permitted.

Camera I: Digital and Film

Camera I teaches you how to use your camera! Learn about the fundamentals of digital and traditional cameras to make great pictures. Topics include camera selection, film and digital choices, lens choices, basic flash, filters and more. Bring your camera or brochures for camera purchase to the first class.

Make your picture have impact! Whether portraits, landscapes, event photography, this course will explore how to succeed in making visual statements. Camera III melds together equipment, it’s implementation and the creative strategies used in the creation of successful photographs.
